Here are some answers to frequently asked questions.

1. How do I find my way around easterbilby.com.au?

At the top of each page you will see a navigation bar. It has eight sections (Teachers' Resources, Project Material, Save a Bilby, Fun Stuff, Links, About Us, Privacy, Home). If you move your mouse over these sections a pop-down menu will appear showing you the contents of these sections. Click on the item that interests you to see that page.

If you cannot see the pop-down menus, each of the eight sections has an index page. For instance, if you want to use the Project Material, simply click on the ‘Project Material’ and you will be taken to a page which outlines all the items for that section, such as Message from Frank, Fact Sheet and Pictures.

2. I can't open some of the documents on easterbilby.com.au! Why?

This website uses pdf documents, which are files that are opened by a programme called Adobe Acrobat Reader. If your computer does not have Acrobat Reader installed you will not be able to view sections such as the Print’n’Play, the Save the Bilby Merchandise Order Form or the Lesson Plans.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is FREE to download from here. After following the installation instructions, restart your computer and then you will have full access to all content on easterbilby.com.au.

If you do have Acrobat Reader installed, ensure you have the latest version installed and that you have waited long enough for the document to download. Some files, such as the Lesson Plans, are quite large and may take up to five minutes to download completely on a dial-up connection.

3. I can’t view the bilby videos! Why?

Videos supplied on easterbilby.com.au are supplied in two primary formats, that being mpeg for broadband connections and Windows Media Format (.wmv) for dial-up connections. There is also a third format (.avi) which is used for some of the videos taken of live bilbies.

Mpeg and avi movies can be played by the media player pre-installed on your computer (Windows Media Player 7.1 for Windows systems and Quicktime for Macintosh systems). Windows Media Format can only be played by Windows Media Player 7.1. Videos are large files, so they will not play immediately, some taking up to 10 minutes to start streaming.

If you still cannot play the videos, we recommend you download and install Windows Media Player 7.1. Follow the download instructions, restart your computer and then you will have full access to all video content on easterbilby.com.au.
