easterbilby.com.au is an initiative of Darrell Lea Chocolate Shops Pty Ltd and is made for primary school-aged children and their teachers and as such, is mindful of their needs. We are committed to safeguarding our users’ privacy and we take all necessary steps to protect it. As such, we operate under the National Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.

The website collects two kinds of information about users:

(1) Anonymous information that does not personally identify users. This includes information such as how many people visited easterbilby.com.au on a particular day.

(2) Identifiable information which users supply to us, such as entering a competition, using a bulletin board service or making a donation to the Save the Bilby Fund. Any information provided to us, such as your name and e-mail address, will only be used in relation to Save the Bilby initiatives. Users always have the choice to decide if they wish to provide identifiable information.

At no time will information collected at easterbilby.com.au (or via associated competitions) be sold to third parties or used in any way that is not directly related to saving the bilby. easterbilby.com.au is a non-profit service and as such, does not profit from the collection of information.

easterbilby.com.au maintains a strict 'no spam' policy. Any information you provide to us, including your e-mail address, will not be sold to any third party. We will not sell, transfer, assign or rent our customer information to any third party other than contracted vendors and business partners without your permission unless required by law. Furthermore, we will inform you of any intention to do this before we do so and will give you the opportunity to decline any such offer.

easterbilby.com.au will use our best endeavours to protect your information from loss, misuse, alteration or unauthorised disclosure by encrypting forms, storing personal information in a secured database and by requiring employees with access to personal data to comply with our privacy policy.

Individual users voluntarily supply the information we obtain about them. We collect this data through a registration process and we maintain every effort in keeping the information accurate and up-to-date. Individuals have reasonable access to the information stored relating to them. In cases when we may need personal information to provide users with services tailored especially for them, or to inform them about new features or services, users are asked explicitly for that information.

Only statistical information of our users as a group (usage habits, demographics) may be shared with any partner of ours; no identifiable information will be shared at any time.
